Director Announces Changes to the Price Cutter Charity Championship

The Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper Tournament staff held a special press conference April 30, 2009 at the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame to kick off the, Tickets "FORE" Community Causes Program presented by Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center. To make the ticket program more profitable for the participating community causes and more appealing to the general public, changes have been made to the program and were announced during the press conference.

 

Price Cutter Charity ChampionshipThis year participating community causes will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from each of the $20.00 ticket packages they sell and in addition, five lucky ticket purchasers will have the opportunity to win prizes including a 49cc Wildfire Scooter, $500 gas gift card, $500 Price Cutter Supermarkets gift card, Branson getaway and $500 gift card to the Battlefield Mall. The $20 ticket package includes a chance to win five great prizes, a four-day grounds pass to the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper (Thursday, August 13 - Sunday, August 16), plus a parking pass good for all four tournament days. The drawing for the five prizes will be held on Wednesday, August 12th at Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center.

"The mission of the Tickets "FORE" Community Causes presented by Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center is to provide an avenue for 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organizations benefiting ozarks area youth to raise funds that will benefit their community cause," said Jerald Andrews, tournament director. "It has always been the desire of the board of directors of the tournament to provide as much support as possible to area charities and community causes; and to involve as many benefiting organizations as possible in the tournament," said Andrews.

Any 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization benefiting Ozarks youth may be considered for participation in the program. The tournament office is now accepting applications for the Tickets "FORE" Community Causes presented by Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center. Andrews announced today that eight community causes have already turned in applications and have been accepted by the committee ro participate in the ticket program. The CommunityPrice Cutter Charity Championship Causes include, The Kitchen, Inc., The Springfield Workshop Foundation, Ozarks Counseling Center, The National Kidney Foundation, Missouri Intensity Softball Association, Macedonia Baptist Church, Glendale Boys Booster Club, and the Hillcrest Baseball Program.
