Get ready for a week of chocolate, smoothies, and fun! Women's Smoothies & Chocolate Golf Week 2009 begins Thursday, May 28!

The golf week will start things with a Tee-Off Party at Twin Oaks Country Club. There will be wine, cheese and chocolate! for refreshments, a silent auction, and door prizes.

The week will contnue with five golf clinics to be held at various golf courses in the community. These clinics will provide beginners and advanced golfers an opportunity to learn how to play this illustrious game. The Drury Women's Golf Team and local pros will supervise all clinics and the tournaments.


Speaking of tournaments, the golf week has two planned to bring the week to a close. One features 9-holes and is designed for the novice; the other features 18-holes and is designed for the more seasoned golfer.

All proceeds from these events benefit the Family Violence Center, so this is a great opportunity to learn golf (or polish your game), and take stand against domestic violence.


Golf BallTee-Off Party ($30.00)
Thursday, May 28, 7:00 p.m.
at Twin Oaks Country Club

Women's Golf Week starts with a Tee-Off Party on May 28 at Twin Oaks Country Club at 7:00 p.m. The Tee-Off Party will include hair massages after a long day at the office, booths with lots of fun offerings for women, a silent auction, and an opportunity to sign up for golf clinics to take place during the following week. There will be a cash bar, great golf giveaways, refreshments (wine, cheese, and chocolate!), and more! If you plan to attend the Tee-Off Party, please let the Family Violence Center know before May 22.

Golf Clinics ($10 each or all for $40)
The five golf clinics are designed to provide the beginning or advanced golfer opportunity to learn and refine her golf skills. Each clinic will last about two hours, with the first hour dedicated to the beginner and the second hour dedicated to players who can shoot under 110 for 18 holes. The clinics will be held at various golf courses in the community and taught by golf professionals.

Saturday, June 6
Wrapping up Women's Golf Week will be two shotgun start 4-lady scramble tournaments on Saturday, June 6. Tournament winners will be awarded gift certificates and refreshments (smoothies!) will be provided to all.
