Green-Beckham Selects Tiger Over National Field of Contenders
Springfield Hillcrest High School football sensation Dorial Green-Beckham ended the speculation on Wednesday, February 1 when he announced his intentions to attend the University of Missouri next fall.
Green-Beckham, rated the #1 high school recruit in the nation following his outstanding and record setting four year career at Hillcrest selected the Tigers following an intense recruiting battle waged among most, if not all of the nation's
leading college programs. Speculation had narrowed to Missouri and the University of Arkansas in the closing days of the recruiting process, but Green-Beckham, the fleet footed wide receiver said his decision ultimately came down to feeling comfortable with the Missouri program and the Tiger coaching staff. He diplomatically stated that Arkansas, along with Oklahoma, Texas and Alabama all finished "second" in his decision. Green-Beckham ended his career at Hillcrest as the state's all-time record holder in yardage (more than 6,000 in receiving) and in total touchdowns.
